From Roadblocks to Roadmaps: Building Confidently with the Block Editor

Whether you’ve been using the new block editor since WordPress 5.0, or you are just getting ready to publish your first post, there are so many options available that it can be overwhelming.

In this live demo, we will build a shared understanding of all the terminology, options, layouts, and spaces within the block editor.

From simple, text-based layouts, to complex multimedia experiences, we will see how core blocks, third party blocks, block patterns, and reusable blocks combine to build a wide variety of page layouts, and how plugins and themes play into this.

Then, we will take a look at how the block editor is beginning to touch other elements of WordPress site building, and how our knowledge of the current block editor can help us confidently embrace a future of Full Site Editing.
