What is #wpyall?

WordCamp Birmingham is a regional conference devoted to discussing and exploring WordPress, the world’s largest open-source personal publishing software. #wpyall is also our hashtag for the event. See whats being said about us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

What type of people come to WordCamp?

WordCamp is a conference for the people, by the people. We are a community of thinkers, creators, and doers devoted to learning, developing, and growing WordPress. If you are a coder, designer, content creator, or small business, then this is your event.

What is your COVID-19 Policy?

While we are excited to be able to resume an in-person event, we recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic is not entirely behind us, and that many people want to know if they can attend WordCamp Birmingham safely.

Why should I pay to go to a conference?

WordCamp is an opportunity to troubleshoot your WordPress issues, learn more about the platform, connect with others, and grow your business. And WordCamp is much cheaper than other conferences. For $50, you get two full days of talks and events. 

Do I need to be an advanced user to attend?

Nope! Users of all experience levels are welcome. In fact, we encourage novices to attend. WordCamp is a great place to get started with WordPress. 

Will there be vendors present?

Yes! Representatives from several of our sponsors will be present at WordCamp. 

Can I bring my spouse or a friend and will he/she have to pay full price?

Spouses and friends will have to purchase their own tickets. 

Are meals provided?

Lunch and coffee will be available for everyone on both days. 

Will there be after-hours events?

Yes, it will be Saturday evening. Details to be shared soon.

How should I dress?

Dress comfortably. Most attendees will be wearing business casual or jeans and a t-shirt.

How do I get there?

WordCamp Birmingham 2023 will be held at WorkPlay in downtown Birmingham. See our Location page for more information.

Are there hotels close to the venue?

Yes, there are two within a short 7-8 minute walk of our venue. See our Location page for more information.

Note that WordCamp Birmingham is not affiliated with any local hotels and isn’t responsible for rates or service, so book rooms at your best discretion.

Note that the final day to secure your spot and receive a guaranteed t-shirt and name badge is January 20, 2023. If you would like a limited edition #wpyall 2023 t-shirt, we recommend you secure your tickets ASAP.

How can I request a refund?

You can initiate a refund yourself by using the edit link in the confirmation email you received when your ticket was purchased.
