Birmingham WordCamp has a stacked list of speakers this year, and we are proud to host their presentations. Here is a quick teaser, featuring some of our favorite Friday morning talks.
“Blogging, Even If You Think You Can’t Write”
By Aida Marie Correa
Aida Correa, New Yorican and self-described Renaissance woman, is an artist, writer, poet, designer, teacher, and a regular WordCamp volunteer and speaker.
Now in Jacksonville, Florida, she’s the owner of LoveBuilt Life LLC, a Creative Arts & Lifestyle company, where she teaches how to live life more creatively. She also uses her experience as an entrepreneur and the knowledge she’s gained from WordCamps to coach women on how-to creatively rethink their business strategy. Plus, she builds websites for start-ups on a budget.
Aida enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in her community and traveling to WordCamp conferences where she seeks to inspire and motivate others. She also has a thing for Wapuu.
Have you ever wanted to start a blog, but were too reluctant to try because you don’t think you have the proper writing skills? Come learn about the different types of blogs you can start that can be fun, authentic and engaging to your audience – without being “spammy” – even if you’re not a traditional blog writer.
We’ll explore different ways you can blog that don’t require phenomenal writing skills, but will still showcase your interests, knowledge or expertise. I’ll also share additional resources that will make getting started on your very own blog even easier!
In the end, you’ll be so inspired that you might even start your blog right away!
